It was year ending 2010 and as was the practice during the previous years, the alumni of SSSIHL made it once again to the hallowed portals, presenting themselves to their Beloved Swami. Year endings often mean introspection of the activities during the year, and here, the grateful students seemed to have done their 'home work' well to present their progress report to Bhagawan. They have come in good numbers and presented a dance drama entitled "Your Message is Our Life", a sequel to the previous year's presentation entitled "An Eternal Bond of Love"!
How best to live a worthy life that has already been sanctified by Bhagawan with His bounteous blessings, entitling them with the title - Sai Students? The presentation on the eve was an answer to this question. Continuing from the previous year's presentation that depicted the story of Karthik, the persona representing Sai student, the presentation carried the story-line forward coining actual stories from the lives of some of the alumni.
It began with a quick flashback into the previous year’s presentation. Beginning with a colourful dance, the scene shifted to Karthik, the protagonist, who gets a call from his former hostel mate, Varun, inviting him to an alumni medical camp at Brindavan, Whitefield. At the medical camp, Varun briefs Karthik of the activities happening in the name of Bhagawan. His revelation covers the epochal Divine declaration during the summer course in 1976.
During the Summer Coursem, Bhagawan had materialized a medallion with the Indian map on it, identifying 18 spots Bhagawan further revealed that those spots corresponded to the 18 centres that would be taken care of by His students in future. Medallion had the names of all the students and their ‘would be’ task in future. Assuring the students Bhagawan declared, “People say that Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had great disciples like Vivekananda and Brahmananda. You need not become renunciants. With all your youthful energies, turn to Sai; You need not gape and marvel at this medallion, for, the Creator of the medallion is with you and yours forever! Be bold and progress.”
Karthik was at awe at the revelations and was pumped up, yet was worried about 'something' that he felt was holding him back from taking a big leap, allowing him to follow His teachings. When opportunity came in his way, when the call was irresistible, Karthik responded and took home a destitute child, turning the orphan under his loving care. Karthik was joined by a couple of more Sai students. …And thus formed Sai Anandam, a home for the destitute, run by Sai students.
The story further progressed into the coming up of Sri Sathya Sai Jagrati Vidya Mandir at Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, the newly dedicated project "Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini" and the coming up of a hospital, meeting the need of the hour, serving the villagers etc. Tinty tots from the model school, Jagrati Vidya Mandir along with children from Sai Anandam also featured in the presentation.
The one-hour presentation was an ample demonstration showing how Sai students are making waves in the society spreading His message, Love All Serve All. The presentation ended with a message of Oneness of All Creation with a call to merge in Him to become One!
Bhagawan moved down the dais to pose for a photo session. Accepting Mangala Arathi at 1935 hrs. Bhagawan left for Yajur Mandiram at 1940 hrs. Prasadam was distributed to the entire audience.
