Keeping the ball rolling with thematic cultural sessions in the run up to the ensuing birthday celebrations, the Youth from the ‘homeland’ Andhra Pradesh presented a programme entitled “Vedanjali” in the immediate Divine presence on 14th September 2010.

The presentation was a “Visual Essay” of “Veda Poshana”, fostering of the Vedas by the Avatar of the Age, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba as identified by Him long ago as one of His Avataric Mission. Weaved in the backdrop of a village wherein the village chieftain or the preceptor takes reservation about liberal Vedic training, the presentation evolves as the Sai Youth enters propagating the greater need of Vedic studies. Dispelling darkness of ignorance, Sai Youth comes up with inspirational real life stories of some of the ‘past masters’ of the likes of Kamavadhani, Gandhikota Subramanya Sastry, Kolluri Somasekhara Sastry etc. , convincing the village preceptor of the greater need of liberal studies of the Vedam in the present day.

Many interesting anecdotes including the emergence of the great glorious “Sai Gayathri” were depicted, traversing through the illustrious story of “The Avatar and Veda Poshana”.

Rejuvenated after hearing the “Deeds of The Lord”, the village preceptor takes on to propagate the Vedam to the villagers without any reservation and discrimination, hailing Bhagawan as the Ultimate teacher, showcasing the culmination of the episode on a brighter positive note.

The forty minute presentation in chaste telugu, powered with powerful dialogues served as a pointer towards the greater thrust being given by Bhagawan in spreading the glory of the Vedas.  Inserted with soulful renderings, the presentation was equally a visual treat with groups of dancers forayed into the scene at intervals dancing to melodious tunes.

With national and international troupes vying to present the best of the themes,  that serve promoting His teachings, the youth from the ‘homeland’ could not have expected a better theme than Prasanthi’s untiring effort towards propagation of the Vedas.

A pause ensued after the presentation before bhajans commenced as per Bhagawan’s directive. An “aalaap” bhajan, Sri Raghavam…., came in between and as the bhajans continued and Safari pieces came in for distribution, Bhagawan moved down the ramp to sit facing the youth and to watch the distribution from close quarter. With the clothe distribution over, followed by Prasadam distribution, Bhagawan posed with the Youth, finally moving among them before returning onstage. Bhajans continued for some more time before Bhagawan indicated for Managala Arathi at 7:50 p.m.  Blessing the assembly with an abhayahastha, Bhagawan left the dais at 07:56 pm moving towards Yajur Mandiram.
