Puttaparthi is a growing small town located
in a remote corner of Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh
State, in South East India. The name of its adjacent township
is called Prasanthi Nilayam, named after the Ashram of Bhagawan
Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The main region of the township where
the ashram is situated and surrounding areas near ashram,
is referred to as Prasanthi Nilayam.
